Windows xp sp2 problems with outlook

When I install service pack 2 my outlook breaks down, my mail disappears and
outlook tries to send nonsense message to nonsense adress????
Does anybody know what is happening?
I have fixed things with system restore and then the service pack has to be
installed again and the carrusel goes another round. Plz woman in despair.

Unfortunately, you haven't given us enough information about your
machine's software, hardware, whether it was 100% spyware and
virus-free, how you connect to the Internet, etc. We can't help you
