SP1 & SP2 Individual Updates

L

I am trying to find each of the individual updates included in SP1 & SP2. I
found the page that lists the problems fixed with SP1, but not the individual
updates. I don't like Service Packs, I want to see each update I install and
I have a new HP printer that will not work without SP1.

Can anyone help me find them?

Thanks everyone.

Sorry - even if you could get ahold of every update that a service pack
includes (you cannot) - if you have something that requires a certain
service pack level - just having all the updates that service pack includes
installed will not substitue for the service pack itself.

There is *no reason* to not like service packs. Careful? Sure - but that
should be about any installation on your computer and about all data on said
computer you want to keep/is important to you - no matter what.

List of fixes in Windows XP Service Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 1a
http://support.microsoft.com/?kb/324720
(More than 310 updates/patches)

List of fixes included in Windows XP Service Pack 2
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811113
(More than 820 updates/patches + everything in SP1a)

List of fixes that are included in Windows XP Service Pack 3
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946480/
(More than 1130 updates/patches + everything in SP2 (which means everything
in SP1a as well.))

Each of those articles contains the list of fixes (click on the six digit
article number for each one to see the individual article and the download
*if available to the public or if it is available at all anymore/ever*)
included in each service pack.

In order to get your printer to work - you need to install SP1a for Windows
XP. You might be able to hack the registry to fool the printer installer to
continue installation, but you most likely would be missing something you
needed for it to fully function in Windows XP by not installaing SP1a and
thus - you'd fail.
