Windows XP, SP2, Outlook Express and Hotmail

Guest

Since installing SP2, I have been unable to receive Hotmail in my Outlook
Express. I get the following message:

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Redirected', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x80004005"

Is there a fix for this? Thanks

You can use Google to research this.
Sometimes deleting your account in OE, closing then re-opening OE, and then
re-installing your Hotmail account cleans things up.

99% of the time, that error connotes problem's on Hotmail's end. Until they
fix it, access your Hotmail at www.hotmail.com.
