Outlook Express

I've been running outlook express successfully for quite
some time. I haven't changed anything about the system
recently, but now my outlook express won't connect to
hotmail anymore. I'm getting the following message.

Any ideas?

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server.
Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCCF4

My guess is that the Hotmail server was down.

Are you sure that you haven't deleted cookies, or changed your security
settings, or installed any internet security software? Although Hotmail
looks like a POP3 mail server in Outlook Express, it's still just a web
based email service, and depends on cookies. If the above isn't applicable,
then perhaps the server is busy or down. But, if the problem lasts more
than 24 hours, delete the account from Outlook Express, and then recreate
it.
