Try going directly to hotmail and get/clear out your mail. Then see if it
starts working in OE again. If not delete the account in oe and then put it
back in.

About a week or so ago msn hotmail changed their security protocols and you can no longer access hotmail from outlook or any other mail program. You will have to use the web to get it. Go to www.msn.com and click the hotmail link on the top right and this will take you to the logon page. I know it's a pain but then that's MS isn't it? Microsoft is working on a fix or patch for this but it appears it will take some time. Good luck.

That's not true at all. Maybe msn changed something, I don't know, but I do
know that hotmail email still works thru email clients such as outlook
express and outlook. I just used a hotmail account thru outlook 2003 about
two minutes ago and it works fine.
