Are you using the full version install of XP? If so just
format the hard drive from the cd and install when it is
complete.
Everything should go fine from there.

Good Luck,

Al

I am using Brand New XP CD. Nothing is on the harddrive
and it's brand new.

Abe,

A 50 or A stop is usually hardware. Since you are getting both, I would say
it is hardware. :-( Can you swap memory or remove a bank of it? I would
start there. Verify also that it is seated properly.
