windows XP register

Can anyone tell me why when ever I turn my PC off, then re start I have to
register my copy of windows everytime, I have had this version for some time
now and its only started doing this over the past couple of months, it did
come installed on my PC when I bought it
I have called support 3 times now, but even after getting a new product
number I still have to re-register it
Any help/advice appreciated

Have you installed Service Pack 2?
If so when in relation to the start of this problem?

Are you confusing Registration with Activation?
Try this for your activation issues:
Reboot to Safe Mode:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu

Start/Run
Type "regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll" ENTER
Type "regsvr32.exe licdll.dll" ENTER

Reboot.
Activate again
Reboot

Hi Jupiter,
My PC asks if I want to activate windows, thenI have to register, I
have tried your suggestions, still the same thing happens
I have had service pack 2 on my PC for a good 8 months, maybe more, the
problem only started a month ago, (beats me why it started asking me to do
this)
I have called MS about it, butthey couldnt really help (my laptop has the
same program and I use that as a back up for all my files and programs and
that works fine and doesnt have the same problem

Thanks Jupiter,
That worked fine, all sorted now, but have another problem,
my Microsoft Office 2003 PRO wont delete, even in 'delete programs'
apparently I need the disc (I dont have a disc any more) any idea how I can
delete this program ? any advice appreciated
I prefer Office XP
