Windows XP Pro can be installed on one PC and also the
laptop computer used by the user of the one PC.

False. Only a retail version of "Microsoft Office XP" may be
installed on both a desktop and laptop computer. "Windows XP"
requires a new Product Key (license) for each installation on
a different computer. Otherwise, Product Activation will fail
for the second computer installation.

View your Windows XP license agreement:

Go to Start > Run and type: winver , and hit enter.
Then click on: End-User License Agreement.
