We have a printer being shared on the network, attached to a desktop. This
printer is used by 4 desktops using Windows XP Pro SP2. When the systems are
all booted up in the morning, everything works fine. Everyone can print to
the HP 6P. As the day goes on, people can no longer print the the printer.
When I do a "properties" on the desktops that cant print, I get the error
message "spooler service is not running", which is set up to start each time
the desktops are booted up (automatic). I tried the command "Net Stop
Spooler", "Net Start Spooler" and not luck.

I tried the http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm step,
and it does not seem to work.

This all started when we installed Service Pack 2.

Any Ideas

Chuck

Chuck,

first thing is to check the Event Viewer for relevant error
messages. Normally a service issues an error when it is forced
to shut down.
