Windows XP Pro & Bluetooth

I bought a Sony VAIO Z1 which came with Windows XP Home
Edition pre-installed. I purchased and installed the XP
Pro version. During the installation I got the message
that the Bluetooth (already installed and working under
the Home Edition) wasn't XP compatible. I chose to go
ahead and found the two required files under windows to
complete the installation. With Windowes XP Pro installed
and otherwise working properly, the Bluetooth now does
not. It appears to be loaded and is on the toolbar when
the computer is booted but says that it is off and I am
not able to turn it on.

What now? software fixes, upgrade download etc?

Who says bluetooth is not supported? Do you have SP1 installed?

Which bluetooth device/stack do you have installed?

bluetooth probs

I'm also having trouble getting bluetooth to work
correctly on TWO Windows XP Home machines. The bluetooth
network will not enable and it won't see the Internet
through my LAN connection. I've done all the driver
upgrades. etc. I'm waiting to hear back from a bluetooth
user forum. I'll post if I do. I think this is a result
of Microsoft's long time disdain for Bluetooth, since
it's an Apple invention.
