Where is My Bluetooth Places?

A

Atull

I have just bought the Microsoft wirless desktop for
bluetooth, with the bluetooth transceiver. Do you know
why there is no 'My BLuetooth Places' icon appearing on
the Windows XP Home desktop after theis keyboard / mouse
is connected?

I have to resort to using the Wireless Conncetions icon
on the Control Panel, which doesn't enable services such
as File Transfer with other bluetooth PCs.

Do I need to download additional bluetooth software to
enable this faeture? I already have SP 1 installed on my
PC, so I am very confused, as there is a lack of good
information on Microsoft's web site on this.

Please help.

Thanks,
Atull

Greetings Atull,

I don't know if you know this already but when Service Pack 2 (SP2) for
Windows XP get released, it will have built-in support for Bluetooth.
Service Pack 2 isn't released yet.

There's a technical preview version (Release Candidate 2) of Service
Pack 2 available now:

You're right. RC2 hasn't been released yet. Thanks for correcting my
mistake.
