windows xp fax software

I just got a gateway laptop with Windows XP installed. Unfortunately,
it does not come with the XP installation disks. Since the Windows Fax
sofware is not installed by default, it seems that you must have the
installation disks to activate/install it. Is the Windows XP software
available somewhere from microsoft? Or, do I have to go buy the XP
install disks?

Gateway should happily provide those files. It is their obligation to do so
since those files are an integral part of the software to which they sold
you a license. Microsoft is no longer in this picture.
