hello guys sorry im not sure if this is in the right forum

im using windows xp embedded

my video card went down and i replaced the card now


but im getting some weird error message

one is hardware error 5

and the other is D3DXCreateFontIndirect Function false

anyone know how to fix this error
 
Hi craig, could you be more detailed on H/W error 5? Also check in device manager if any hardware is with yellow question mark.

Now about D3DXCreateFontIndirect i believe something wrong with the Dx version. You could try to update Dx through this web installer that MS has Dx Web UPDATE then see if getting any errors.
 
yep i sorted the problem out now it was the direct x that was corrupted
i went throu the device manager and everything was ok
no yellow marks

Well glad to help :D, keep this web update cause MS is updating every 3 or 4 months the version of directx, u can use it for xp-vista and win 7.
