windows won't start at all

Windows will not start at all. I keep getting the same
screen where it says that windows was not shut down
properly.Start in safemode, most recent config. etc.. but
when you go to any of those, windows won't even start. I
just keep getting that same screen.
 
Maybe you should try a repair install. This will safeguard your data.

Insert the Windows XP disc into the CD-ROM. Boot into setup (BIOS) by
starting the PC and pressing F8. Set it to boot from the CD-ROM and boot up.
When you see the options displayed, select Repair Installation.
