Each time I turn on the computer, it tells me that my windows upgrades are
ready to install. I install them then the next time I go into the computer,
the same upgrades are ready to install. What happened to the initial
upgrade installation and why do I continually have to install the same
upgrades?? KIM

Kim:

This is really a question for Windows specific news group as it is not
related to Access; be sure to specify what operating system you are using
and post the the appropriate OS news group. However:

1.) Some updates are dependent on others, i.e. you install one and then it
will prompt for others (e.g. installation of a service pack may result in
new updates being available specifically for that service pack.)

2.) The best way to get everything you need, is to use the Window Update web
site http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

3.) Some times, if an update fails to install correctly, it will be
downloaded a second time and re-installed when
