windows update not working

Hello
I have windows xp home edition, I made a format using recovery cd. on
registration of this edition again, I changed the name from Iyad Ismael to
Iyad Mustafa. Later, I could not have any updates for xp, despite I setup
windows update to be automatic. I do not know if the cause is what Ihad
mentioned before. Please help me what to do

Hi Iyad,

Changing the name of registration would not matter. What happens when you
visit the update site?

My windows xp home edition is of 2002 without service pack. Before doing
format (using recovery cd), I had installed many updates including service
pack 1 and others (at least more than 10 security updates), but now (after
formating) I got only 9 security updates, and each time I run windows
update, I received that no new updates are available at this time. what
happen to the other updates I had installed before and I want to be updated
Note: xp 2002 cd came with new PC from toshiba

There is no relation between name change and windows update.
