Windows sound sample don't play

The sounds like the little bells that go off whenever you
unplug or plug a usb device into a laptop,
~when you empty recycling bin
~adjust the volume(replaced with a sharp beep, the kind that goes off when
your notebook is losing power.)

Normal sounds from videos and music are fine, it's just the windows sounds
don't play or work..

i've used some anti-spyware and registary fixers, maybe thats the problem.,
i just want to know how to fix it.

wow that helped, but this doen't help with the other sounds like, the
rec.bin, and the little clicks you hear when you click on folders.
