my computer, however windows security virus protection says Not Found. I have
all updates for my windows and for my Nortons. How ever i did had it working
before I've tried unstalling nortons a couple of times still No luck,. I
also ran spy check too. Any ideas on how to turn the virus protection on in
the windows security center?

Hi

I am having a similar problem. I recently installed Norton Antiviurs 2006
and now my Windows Security Center says 'it is stopped' but I do not know how
to start it again. I too have all the available updates but am a bit
concerned about my security. I have been on to Syymantec and they now say it
is a Windows setting that is the problem and advise me to contact Microsoft -
easier said than done. I know I have not answered your query but thought you
might like to know you are not alone and also in the hope that someone might
know the answer for us both.

Possibly your version of Norton does not interface with the Security Center.
You can check the status via Norton program itself. If it is running there
should be an icon in the lower rights hand corner and if you double click it
will tell you the status on the antivirus programs. Put your mouse pointer
over an icon to see what it is for . You may also need to click on the
circle with a < in it to show all the icons. --- Steve

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I will try and do as you suggest. Meanwhile I did
contact Microsoft and they suggested I go to a Forum like this or the FAQ's.
Not a freat deal of help.

Thanks again.
