The security center service is switched off - it will not allow my to switch
on...why? also keep getting a pop up to say Windows Explorer has stopped
working and has re-started. message pops up every 30seconds!! please help!

Do a full scan with MalwareBytes and SUPERAntiSpyware.

Also, using Internet Explorer, have the system scanned heÑe:

Several posters in this newsgroup have reported that malware was
successfully removed using the above scanner.

You can use Google to find it if the OneCare scan doesn't remove it.
