Windows no disk in the drive error message

Hi,

Whenever i boot up my computer i get the error message:

"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ."

Below is the info i got from the Event Viewer. I've already checked that my
'C' drive is the Boot drive/hard drive. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition.

Can someone please help me remove this message? it's getting really annoying!!

Hi Jo,

Take a look at the same program you installed using a CD. Uninstall that
program and see if you get the error message.

If you don't, then reinstall the program, but don't take the CD out,
until after you have rebooted the computer and you are back to the Desktop.
Then go to My Computer and right-click on the DVD or CD Drive and click
eject.

Reboot the computer and see what happens.

Hi thanks for replying but i don't think it's to do with any programs that
i've installed. i've had this message for a very long time (probably over a
year) but just have ignored it until now.
