Nemesis6,

I think I just found the answer today by coincidence. My wife's laptop
could not print on my network printer, HP6310. Installed it's software
and got similar faults. HP-software advised to turn-off the antivirus
and specially the firewall. I uninstalled the HP6310 on the laptop,
turned-off the firewall and reinstalled the HP6310 software. After
completly finished the job and updating the HP software I turned on the
firewalls and antivirus. No more faults of this kind in the eventviewer
anymore. Costed me nearly half a year and 3 times a clean install of XP.

I hope you can use my solution...
(I'll try to give an update in a few days about the system behaviour)

Anyway, thanks for your response.

Peter
