My guess would be that you use the studio.exe app with a Pinnacle DVD/CD
player/burner. Open devmgmt.msc to the device Properties, and use the Action
menu to 'uninstall', then 'scan for hardware changes'. The USB Root Hubs
might need that too, if the player uses that.

thanks for the reply.

i was just arranging jpeg clips for a slideshow i am putting together which
will also have a few mpeg clips once the jpegs are in place. i haven't
rendered anything yet, just moving jpegs around the story line track. i found
a pinnacle marvin bus in the device manager but am unsure if i should
uninstall it as i may need to reinstall it later and i don't know much about
computers so i just disabled it, hit the 'action' button - 'scan for hardware
changes', then a 'scanning plug and play compliant hardware' box opens and
closes very quickly but nothing happens.
i will be working with pinnacle studio later today so i'll try the
recommendations and see what happens.

thanks again for reply.
