Windows Movie Maker 2

I am using a Sony DCR-TRV260 NTSC for making videos. I generally
set the camera to LP for shooting video, but when I download to
Movie Maker 2, my video comes out showing digital pixels which
blurs the images, and distorts the finished movie.
My question: Could this be caused by my camera settings, and
should I changed my settings back to SP, or is there another
problem I am not aware of when configuring my options in
Movie Maker 2?

What quality setting are you using to import the movie into Movie Maker. For best results, it should be imported as DV-AVI. You can later output it in different formats depending on what you plan on doing with the video content later.

In LP mode the capture quality is compromised which cannot be recovered
whatever sophitication you employ later on. So if you are converned about
quality later on, why loose it in the first step? Try capturing a sample
clip in SP mode from the same camera and compare quality.
