Movie Maker doesn't recognize my mini DV camera SONY DCR-HC28. The problem is
that sometimes when I have that problem I restart camera or PC but today it
doesn't recognized the camera at all. What should I do?
Thank you in advance!

P.S. I don't have any software with the camera and from SONY suggested me to
use Windows Movie Maker

I'd uninstall the firewire card. Turn pc off. remove card. turn pc on. turn
pc off. refit card in another pci slot if possible. turn pc on adn let it
refind the drivers.

If the firewire port is built into the mptherboard then just uninstall turn
off and turn on and test.

Check for a bios update for the mobo.

then as it sounds like a connection issue, which could be anywhere. It may
be hardware, it may be software, so you could either spend hours testing to
find it, spend money to get someone to find it, or just plug the cam in and
turn on before booting the pc.
