Can WMM Edit Video Frame-by-Frame

I had read that video from a mini-Dv camera could be edited down to the
nearest frame (while video from other types of cameras could not be edited
that precisely). When I try to edit video from my mini-Dv camera on Windows
Movie Maker, I can only trim off the start or end of a clip in about
one-second increments...I can not edit it down to a specific frame.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I need another video editing software?

MM1 in XP shows each frame. MM2.1 in XP changed it to show every other
frame. MM6 in Vista went back to showing each frame, and Windows Live Movie
Maker shows each frame.

Maybe you just need to zoom closer into the timeline. The page up and down
keys zoom in and out in MM2.1.

The page up/page down keys helped...thanks.
