Kodak "Flip Cam" and Movie Maker

I recently purchased Kodak's version of the Flip Camera (Kodak Zi8) and I
have Windows Movie Maker 2.1. Movie Maker is not allowing me to import or
capture my videos into the program. Any suggestions?

I suspect the files will need to be converted
to the .wmv or .avi format before you can import
them into Movie Maker.

Maybe these articles will offer some ideas:

PapaJohn's Blog
http://www.papajohn.org/PapaJohn-Blog.html
(scroll down to : April 11, 2009 - Using Flip's
Mino-HD camcorder files)

Movie Maker and Flip Digital Camcorders

The following freeware converter may be worth a try:

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Format Factory
http://www.pcfreetime.com/
(FWIW...you may want to uncheck
all the boxes on the final screen)

After downloading and installing Format Factory...
open the program and choose an Output Folder...
(this is where you will find your files after they are
converted)

Drag/drop your audio/video clips onto the
main screen...

Select 'All to ???' / OK...
(the ??? represents your choice of format)

Click...Start...on the toolbar...

That should do it...

Good luck...
