Hi, I copied onto a CD a music video from an email i recieved. When I put the
CD into the computer it does open up & play. I am trying to rip it into my
song list in Windows Media so I can then use it in a slideshow I am making on
Windows Movie Maker. I am unable to rip it. When I put it in & choose Rip the
name of it does come
up at the top under music. It shows a cd symbol, then the name I named it
the (D:)
What should I do? Thanks.,

Here's what I would do :

Download Audacity : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Install it, see instructions of the web page.

Filre it up, then select "What you hear" from the drop down input menu (next
to the input volume slider hold yourmouse over the sliders if you're lost).

Get your video ready to play, then change to Audacity, click on the record
button, then rapidly change to the video and start it. Once its finished
playing, stop Audacity, and click on Edit > Select > All.

Then : File > Export > chose the format you want (wave, for example), give
it a name and save it somewhere on your HD. Import the resulting file into
WMM. Did that work ?

Cheers,
Jerry
