Recently, playing mp3 files through my Windows XP WMP has begun
producing very distorted musical sound output.

Obviously, I suspected my sound card or speakers - BUT - when I tried
plaing the files through the Creative Playcenter which came with my
Audigy SB card, it was as clear and crisp as it always has been.

I cant see any option fiddles in WMP which may have caused the problem

I am at my wits end - does anyone have any suggestions please?
