windows media player, no view

when play a movie i only have sound but no view, I have tried everything but
i only see a black picture . like it is only music.
 
WMP version 9 : You can reinstall it from "%systemdrive%\program files\windows media player\installer\mpsetupxp.exe"

version 10 is in add/remove, try uninstalling, and reinstalling it.

I have the same problem. I first had MediaPlayer 9 and it worked fine. Then I
upgraded to MP10beta and it worked fine. When I upgraded to MP10 it stopped
working. I then reinstalled MP9 because they wouldn't let me roll back to
MP10beta and MP9 doesn't work now either. Then I reinstalled MP10 and it
still won't play video right. It usually either gives me a blank screen or
starts to play and then locks up the video portion but not the audio. If you
find a fix, please let me know.
