I will be taking my computer to Florida. It has VISTA Windows Mail. My home
service is through Comcast.

Question: When I reconnect in Florida, it will also be through Comcast.
Will Windows Mail continue operate as it does in Illinois or will I be
relegated to webmail?

It should work fine as long as you stay on Comcast's network.
Make sure you have switched to the newer SMTP port (587).
In many localities Comcast has discontinued SMTP service on port 25.
