Windows Mail won't accept my login and password

What does the error message say? Did you try using your full email address
at the user name? Give that a try and see if that works.
 
Maybe you need select "My server requires authentication" in accounts
properties.

Have you set up your email account under Windows Mail as Verizon
recommends?

If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, use their
instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail instead.

They may demand that your date and time be fairly close to correct.
