Windows Mail - Show Replies to My Messages (view)

Hi,

I'm finding that Windows Mail is unlike Outlook Express when it comes to
"View>Current View>Show Replies to My Messages".

In Outlook Express, this feature would only show messages that I authored.
In Windows Mail, it is ignored when I first select the news group. However,
if I click another new group and then come back again to the first
newsgroup, it then works correctly and shows only my messages (as I want).

How do I configure Windows Mail to stop showing me everyone's messages when
I first select the news group?

p.s. I don't know why it is called "Show Replies to My Messages" as having
no filters at all would of course "show replies to my messages". It should
be called "Show Only My Messages" because it doesn't require that I get a
reply before I see it.

I think this is a bug, but here's the work around:

Always turn off "Show Only My Messages" when exiting a newsgroup. (Ctrl-H)
When entering a newsgroup don't turn on "Show Only My Messages" (Ctrl-H)
until the Status Bar stops giving messages about updating information.

This is Windows Mail and therefore nothing like OE really Bob.

All the settings you talk about are in the View/Current View menu.

Filters have nothing to do with these settings. Filters in OE are set up by
you.
