Windows Logon

R

Robert Mitchell

I have Windows XP Professional with SP2 installed on my computer.

After installing everything I went into the user account and completed the
setup.

I also made another user account at this time and then rebooted. Upon
restart I did not encounter the Windows Logon Screen, but it immediately
started loading the original user account during the installation. The only
way I can get access to the other account is to log off and then I get the
Logon Screen. I can then log on to the other account.

I have tried using "control userpasswords2", but it will not allow me to
change passwords at user next logon for neither user. The box for checking
changing password at next logon is grayed out and does not allow it to be
checked. The same for the account if locked out box.

Appreciate any help with this.

Mr. Ramesh,

The first solution did the trick. I followed the instructions and went into
the registry and made the necessary modifications and rebooted my computer
and presto it now gives me the logon screen that I wasn't getting before.

You made it too easy and your assistance is more than appreciated.
