Windows key stuck?

When I type the letter "f", it brings up the find box that should come up
with [Windows key] + f.
Likewise, when I type "r", it brings up the run box, and "d" brings up the
desktop.

Note that I am not holding down the windows key while pressing these keys.

Do you know what might cause this?

Hi, Matthew.

I don't know what causes it, but it has happened to me occasionally. Not
just with the Windows key, but sometimes with Ctrl or Alt. :>( Not often;
maybe a couple of times a year.

Sometimes I can fix things by a little controlled pounding on the keys, but
usually it just goes away by itself in a little while. I don't know why it
happens; I don't know why it cures itself.

I suppose there could be a physical problem with the keyboard (lint under
the keys?), or a new driver might fix things, but it has never lasted long
enough for me to check it out completely.

Sticky Keys might be on and being triggered by a hotkey (default is
pressing Shift key 5 times). It's in Start, Settings, Control Panel,
Accessibility Options, Accessibility Options.

Just another dumb thing M$ decided was best for ALL of us.
