Windows Installer???

Hi everyone,
I need some help.
I accidently deleted Adobe PDF reader from my computer,
so I have been trying to re-install it, but after it is
downloaded, I keep getting an error message saying that
Windows can't install this program because my Windows
installer is either not installed or installed
incorrectly.
What does this mean, and how do I fix it?
