Windows installer pops up everytime I change a page in IE

When I go to a new page, the windows installer pops up and
then it loads IE and goes to the page. When I lookup the
MSIE event log, this is the message that is there over and
over. I have re-installed IE 6.0 and the microsoft
windows installer and I still get this message.

failed during request for component '{611A5543-AEAC-11D3-
8621-005004838609}'

HELP!

Have you checked for viruses, spyware and hijackers? It might help if you
tell which windows version you are using.
