Windows Installer "flashes" when opening Windows Explorer

Each time I start my PC and open "Windows Explorer" the
Windows Installer dialogue box flashes several times. Then
things get back to normal and proceeds as expected. What
is going on?

Check your application event log for MsiInstaller warnings. Most likely, some
COM activation is resulting in an on-demand install/repair. For additional

Windows Installer performs an installation. How can I determine the cause of the
