Windows installer driving me crazy!

I think this problem started after I received the Service pack 2 install.
Anyway, every time I open any folder with photos (i.e. My Pictures), the
Windows Installer dialog box pops up and says preparing to install. And it
keeps popping up constantly after that. Even as I was clicking on the
different headings on the left side of the webpage to get into this group, it
kept popping up. This is driving me INSANE! It is irritating when I am
trying to look at my photos on my computer and this box keeps getting in the
way.

I hope someone can help me!

Thanks,
Julie

Julie,

Let the Windows Installer run fully, and finally note down the conflicting <application name>.

If you have the setup CD for the <application name>, try this:

Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and run it. Select the <application name> from the installed products list and remove the Windows Installer information for the product. This should fix the current problem. Then reinstall the <application name> from the CD.
