Corey;

It's not the first time people have reported problems after using a
Registry Cleaner. That would be my first suspect.

Can you undo the changes that it made? I hope you at least created a
system restore point before running the cleaner, or better yet used ERUNT
for registry backup.

Yes I set a restore point.. Unfortunately it didn't seem to work.
The windows installer keeps poping up saying its trying to install Microsoft
Office XP with Front page?? I have all these programs and when I open them
they are fine..
This one is really boggling me, Im usually good at finding a fix to these..

What I meant by undo was, doesn't Registry Mechanic create a .REG file(s)
that you could merge into your current registry to get back to pre-cleaned
registry conditions? You could do a systemwide search on *.reg and see if
you can locate any created on the date you ran RM.

This is now the continuous message I'm getting everytime I double click
internet explorer, or go to another website or open a Microsoft related
file..I get this message:
Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\Documnets and Settings
\Administrator\Desktop\New Items\OFFICE1.CAB.
Verity that the file exists and that you can access it.

This is very frustrating...

C:\Documnets and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\New Items\OFFICE1.CAB ?
The Office Cabinet file stored on the Administrator's Desktop? That
doesn't even sound like a logical location for it. I still think your
Registry Cleaner blew away much of your system directory pointers, but I'm
not an Office expert by any means (not even much of a user unless Word
counts ;o). You could ask about this storage location in the Office
newsgroups for a more definitive answer as to where it's supposed to be
located, or hope for an off topic answer here.

But, I'll repeat my question:
Doesn't Registry Mechanic create a .REG file that you could merge into your
current registry to get back to the pre-cleaned state? Even if you don't
know for certain, you can do a system-wide file search on " *.reg " to see
if you can locate any .REG file on your system created about the date you
ran RegistryMechanic. Perhaps RM does not, I haven't used it, though that
is a common backup technique for registry cleaners in general, in and of
itself that may be the developer's subtle comment on its reliability.

registry Mechanic does allow to reset restore points. I tried that with no
luck..
this is a weird one I'm sure.. I'm begining to think that all signs are
pointing to re-installing Mircosoft Office.. which is going to be difficult
because I don't have the oiginal CD anymore as it was lost in a move..
