Windows Installer Cleanup and Quickbooks

Every time I start Quickbooks I get a message that says: "Quickbooks has
recently downloaded a software update." Then it asks me if I would like to
install it. I choose "Yes", but the update never begins. So I chose "No" and
I updated it manually, bringing it up to date (so far as I see), but the
message still appears every time I start the program.

Somebody told me to run the Windows Installer Cleanup. I tried that, but
neither Intuit or Quickbooks are listed as options to run the cleanup on.

Is the Windows Installer Cleanup what I want to use for my problem? If yes,
how do I run it to fix Quickbooks? If no, is there another way to fix my
problem? Thank you. Todd

Have you checked with Intuit/QuickBooks tech support? If you were to use
the windows installer clean up utility and there was an entry for QuickBooks
it might remove QuickBooks, which is not what I think you want.
