Windows Installer 2.0

I need to re-install a program (Quickbooks) and am getting an error message
telling me that I need to download Windows Installer 2.0. When I go to the
download section on Miscroft.com however, it says that Windows Installer 2.0
can't be downloaded for XP because Windows Installer 2.0 is already a part of
XP. How can I get Windows Installer 2.0 updated so that my programs install
correctly?
