Quickbooks and Internet Explorer

I am recieving an error message when trying to start up Quickbooks (2006)
that it cannot locate IE 6.0. It is in fact installed and current.

When trying to contact Quickbooks for assistance, all I got was excuses.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
