Windows Explorer WinXP SP2

I have a problem that's even hard to describe.

I am doing some work on a friends computer, installing etc and she
told me that another friend duplicated her My Documents folder on her
machine to back it up.

I look in Windows Explorer and sure enough, there are two of them. One
is under it's normal location, shows up under her user name on the C
drive and on the desktop etc. but there is another that shows up in
the folder tree outside of the C drive, like below the Shared
Documents folder. I want to remove it and all it's sub folders but
cannot because it's really the same as the one under her user name.

How can I get rid of it showing on the folder structure outside of the
C drive?

ANyone help?

When you open the WE is is normal, that "My Documents" is listed under
"Desktop" as the first item. This is a link to the MY DOCUMENTS
folder, but not a duplicate of the folder.

Yes, I understand that but I it's also repeated again down next below
Shared Documents. That's the one I'm wanting to get rid of.

It's the same as the others - no duplication and just another way to get to
the same folder. Using TweakUI for XP (SP2), you can use the setting to
show/not show "files stored on this computer." Removing the check from the
box removes both "Shared Documents" and "<username> Documents."
