Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and

I keep getting the infamous "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close" box. When I open the event viewer, I get the following
information:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 1/26/2007
Time: 2:20:09 PM
User: N/A
Computer: COMPUTER4
Description:
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
oleaut32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00004874.

Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?
