Windows Explorer crashes when trying to delete file

I have a user who tries to delete certain .JPG files within Windows Explorer,
and when he right-clicks on the files to delete them, Windows Explorer
crashes. He's run a defrag on his PC he still can't delete the file. He is
able to delete other files on his PC but not these .JPG's for some reason.

How is the .JPG keeping itself from being deleted??

Can you right-click and copy the file without crashing?

This is a non-answer but Control Panel might be tangled up. You'd have to go
into safe mode to delete the .jpg file. Windows Protective Services might be
blocking all attempts to right click on the file while in Normal Windows.

I remotely connected to his PC via his computer name and c$, and I was able
to delete the two files. One was 133MB and the other was 92MB. Our
end-users do not have admin rights to their PC but he should've been able to
delete. He may still have the issue, but I got this one resolved. We'll see
if it resurfaces with another file. It very well may be with the control
panel.

To answer your question, just right-clicking on either of the files crashed
Explorer.

thanks.
