Windows does not use entire screen

Hi,

My friend is running XP Pro on an notebook PC. It had been working fine.
She turned it on today, and Windows is not using the entire screen. There is
about an inch of unused screen space on both the left and the right side of
the screen.

She has tried adjusting her screen resolution in "Display Settings", but to
no avail. Whatever her resolution, Windows only uses this limited portion of
her screen.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the cause of this?

Thanks,
Paul

Check the controls on the monitor itself. There may be a "horizontal size"
adjustment.
