Windows does not start up.

Hi,

When I turn on my laptop, the Windows XP screen appears as usual but then
after that instead of the usual start up, all I see is a black screen. A beep
sounds and a little window with the following message appears...... [Parser
Message, Value Creation Failed" at line 42]

I tried a few times to switch off and on again but the same happens.

Thinking that it might be a OS error I switched off the laptop and switched
on again, this time trying to boot up from the Windows XP disk. Unfortunately
the same happens.

What could have happened. Pease tell me how I can fix this error. My OS is
Windows XP Pro (SP 1)

What is the make and model of your laptop?

Can you access in safe mode or by selecting Last known good configuration?

Its a Samsung P28. I cant do any of the 2 things you mentioned.

Is your computer a Samsung P28 or a Samsung NP28?

When did you buy the machine and in what country?

Do you have a System Recovery CD?

Do you have data files on the computer that you cannot
afford to lose?
