My laptop recently start to misbehave by switching off automatically and
never come on again until i tried to switch it on more than 8 times. When i
pressed the on/off button to reboot the laptop, all the lights will come on
indicating that the computer is rebooting, but the LCD screen will still
remain dark even after 20 minutes. This is the response i get until i try
to reboot it more than 8 times.

And when it finally comes up, i usually get error alert message on the
desktop with Error Signature (BCC: 1000007f BCP1: 00000008 BCP2: 80042000
BCP3: 00000000 BCP4: 00000000 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 3_0 Product: 256_1

Can someone please help me? All appreciated!

0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
Click to consult the online MSDN article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ms795478.aspx
One of three types of problems occurred in kernel-mode: (1) Hardware failures. (2)
Software problems. (3) A bound trap (i.e., a condition that the kernel is not
allowed to have or intercept). Hardware failures are the most common cause (many
dozen KB articles exist for this error referencing specific hardware failures) and,
of these, memory hardware failures are the most common.

I don't think it is a Windows Problem.
You have a hardware failure, and with the laptop, it is most likely on the main system board.
Have you contacted the manufacturer's tech support.

Take the battery out, leave the ac lead plugged in and then try and start
up. It could be a myriad of things. One of them could be that the CPU is
overheating and is shutting down to protect the system. Or you have a build
up of dust contributing to the overheating problem. Also it is not good to
force the laptop to shutdown and then restart again and again as it maybe be
trying to load start-up files. Eventually you could end up with a
non=booting laptop completely, with corrupted start-up files, which would
necessitate a repair install or even a factory reset depending on whether
you have a restore disk or a OEM or Retail disk for you OS.
