Windows Defender will not update definitions

Aha! If true this is extremely valuable info.

To be 100% precisely clear here. Are you saying that if WSUS is used,
Defender cannot update properly? And if this is true, what would be the
recommened workaround to make WSUS and Defender work together?

Definitely something that needs precise docs.

No--that's not what I'm saying--sorry to have given that impression. WSUS
is the supported way to distribute Windows Defender updates on a managed
network. If you read posts in the .network group in the last day or two,
I've reposted a users post there which describes the steps the WSUS
administrator needs take to enable Windows Defender definitions to be
distributed via WSUS.
