Windows Defender error;8050800f

Hi
i have installed windows defender on my workstations.It is giving the
following error:
Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x8050800f. An unexpected problem
has occurred.Install any avaliable updates and then try to start the program
again.
The Event log shows the following error:
Type:Error.
Source:WinDefendRtp
Event ID:3003

Uninstall WD
Close Windows Defender. If the program is not open but is performing a scan
or another activity, right-click the Windows Defender icon in the
notification area, and then click Exit.
Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
Click Windows Defender, and then click Remove.
Follow the instructions to uninstall the program.

Get the Windows Installer cleanup utility here:

You can use it to remove the installer bits for the requested software, and
that should resolve the issue.

You might try downloading a new copy WD.

When you download it again, can you save it to a different location than
your user/Desktop folder?

And to close any open apps before reinstalling - in particular your AV prog.
